Malee Tobias
Malee blends deep industry expertise with consumer-focused strategy to unlock opportunities in mixed-use master-planned communities and residential development.
With over two decades of leadership in premier real estate organizations, Malee has driven transformation and change. As CMO at Newland, she led the company's digital evolution and marketing realignment, building upon an industry-leading research program she established that served more than 40 active masterplans and new acquisitions. Her strategic vision shaped company rebranding and expanded agency partnerships.
At Brookfield Properties, Malee directed consumer insights and market research for the company's North American mixed-use, master-planned community, and housing portfolio. Earlier, as Vice President at RCLCO, she led the West Region consulting practice, providing development strategies and economic analyses for developers, builders, investors, and municipalities.
A graduate of UCLA and Harvard, Malee actively shapes the future of real estate through industry leadership. She chaired the Urban Land Institute National Community Development Council (Green Flight) and co-chaired the ULI Spring Meeting. Passionate about nurturing the next generation of talent, she mentors students and young professionals in real estate and urban planning.
